The Frances Quinn Arts Encouragement Award was established in honour of Frances Quinn, a club member and music lover. The award is given annually to a female Year 12 student at the Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School (VCASS).

Poppy Savage, 2025 Frances Quinn Arts Encouragement Award winner

Poppy Savage

Poppy’s main instrument is violin. She has been a member of the Melbourne Conservatorium Young Artists Academy, attended the Australian Youth Orchestra’s Young Symphonists and National Music Camp, and performed with the Melbourne Chamber Orchestra and in collaborations with the Australian National Academy of Music. She holds an LMusA (2024) and an AMEB Gold Award, and her piano trio won the Keyboard Prize in Musica Viva’s Strike a Chord (2025). She has performed at Government House and on 3MBS radio, and will begin a Bachelor of Music (Performance) at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music in 2026.
